Wrapping Paper Storage
Christmas is quickly approaching and if you are like me wrapping is in full swing! I absolutely love wrapping gifts. I know, sounds crazy, but I do. My plan one day is to create a wrapping nook in my office! When I say wrapping nook, this is what I mean, a hutch with enough table space for wrapping. The wrapping paper would hang inside the hutch and so would the ribbons. Cute baskets would contain all your wrapping needs, tape, scissors, gift tags etc… Here is an example of one I found on Pinterest – I really love the idea of a wrapping nook. I think doors covering the paper…

Ruggable Rugs
Let’s talk about Ruggable Rugs! I am sure you have seen the many ads floating around social media for Ruggable, well I decided to give them a try. A machine washable rug sounded perfect for high foot traffic areas in our home. I put the Nira Grey Runner in the 2.5×7 size between the island and the counters in my kitchen. I love it, it’s the perfect fit and brings some warmth to our white oak flooring. This is an area that receives tons of foot traffic and plenty of spills, so I love that I can throw it right into the washing machine. To wash, simply remove the rug…

Products you never knew you needed… Part Two!
Picking out appliances was such a fun part of the renovation for me. I suggest finding a local appliance dealer, stop into their showroom and get a feel for their customer service. We actually did this with two different showrooms and knew instantly which place we wanted to give our business to. We needed to purchase all new appliances in order to achieve our kitchen vision. It felt nice to give our business to a local appliance store. For the microwave, we decided on a microwave drawer built into the kitchen cabinetry. I love how discreet a built in microwave drawer can be. If you really want to make your…

Dining Room Inspiration
Our dining room table arrived yesterday 🙌 This is a huge deal for me, we have lived in our home for TWO years, TWO years! I know furnishing your home is always something to look forward to but I have dreamed about this for two years. Right before we purchased the table, my hubby looked at me and said “are you sure this is the one you want?” Without hesitation I said “Yes, it’s been on my inspiration board for TWO years.” 😂 When we toured the house for the first time before purchasing, the previous owners had a long rectangle dining room table. After moving in and renovating the…

Christmas Front Porch
With the new windows project wrapping up around our house, we decided not to go too crazy with outdoor Christmas decor this year. The contractors still need to come replace all our gutters 😳 We figured it might be best for them to not have to work around Christmas lights. I went with a simple, welcoming front porch, with pops of red and plaids. One of my favorite parts of a home to decorate, is the front porch. Many people do not see the inside of your home, especially right now, 2020… The front porch is such a great way to show a bit of your style and welcome friends…

Beaded Rim Dinnerware!
I am so excited to share this post with you all. I have been in love with the Costa Nova Pearl Stoneware set of beaded rim dinnerware from Pottery Barn for over a year now. They were just too pricey for me, I could not get myself to purchase them. This year for Christmas my parents offered to get us a set of Christmas dishes for our newly remodeled home. While shopping around for Christmas dishes I stumbled on some similar beaded rim dishes at Target! I unboxed them the other night just in time for our Thanksgiving dinner. They are the Threshold brand, feel heavy and very nice quality.…

Black & White Guest Bathroom
Over the weekend I posted a picture of my favorite bathroom re-do in our entire house. Our house has six bathrooms total 🙄 Way too many toilets to clean… We renovated four of the six bathrooms, so I have some work to do in the future 😉 The black and white guest bathroom is by far my favorite. I love bathroom renovations because I genuinely feel like it’s a room you can be bold with your designs. I found I fell so neutral in many of our rooms and really went for it in the bathrooms. It is so easy to incorporate, fun tiles, wallpaper, bold hardware a fun paint…

Flannel Crib Sheets!
Winter is well on his way and the nights are so very cold in our house ❄️ One way we cozy up the nursery is using the Vornadobaby Tempa Nursery Space Heater we love it and use it everyday. Another way we keep Lulu warm at night is to switch her summer crib sheets for some snuggly flannel crib sheets. Amazon has the cutest patterns for flannel crib sheets. I just couldn’t resist this adorable pink Christmas pattern. They also have this pattern in blue for your little boy. Lulu loves to look at the animals and we talk about the snowmen and the reindeer, it’s a fun thing to…

Let’s talk vent covers…
Did you know you can buy vent covers that match your flooring?! 😮 You probably did 😅 I was late to the party on this one! When I started the design process I knew I wanted the same flooring throughout the entire house. I loved the open layout of our home, but didn’t care for the break in flooring, it went from tile to carpet to engineered hardwood all on one level. Ultimately, we decided on a wide plank white oak engineered hardwood. We had it installed throughout our entire house and I love how flowing the open layout it feels now. During the installation I could not picture what…

Starting the journey of furnishing our home after the renovation. I love creating inspiration boards to help with this process!
