Open Kitchen Shelving
Open kitchen shelving in the kitchen, yay? or nay? I had no intention of putting open shelving in my kitchen, but I am so glad I did! I think it adds warmth to our all white kitchen.
Styling open shelving can be a challenge. Do not overthink it. If your open shelving is in the kitchen I recommend the following –
- Pretty dishes you want to display
- Cookbooks
- Canisters for everyday cooking or baking ingredients
- Pretty coffee mugs
- Scented candles
- Cozy signage
Remember to vary the height and size of items to capture visual interest! My shelving is right above my coffee station so I opted for a canister to hold my coffee grounds, a sugar cookie scented candle, a cozy sign and a few items I felt looked visually appealing together.
The best part about open shelving is you can style them anyway you please and you can switch up your style anytime. Even decorate them for holidays or different seasons. The possibilities are endless!
