Garage Floor Mats
Summer 2020 seemed like the summer of home projects π Spending so much time at home meant many projects staring at us in the face. One of those projects we tackled was painting the garage floors. When we moved in, the previous owners had left a garage floor epoxy painting kit. It must have been a project they intended to do and never got around to it. When we lived in our town house in the city our garage floor was painted and we loved the look. With all the time we had on our hands this summer we went ahead and painted our garage floor. Now, we needed something…

Christmas Magic in Downtown Denver
It has been quite the year. It is hard to believe it is already December, Halloween and Thanksgiving have flown by and Christmas is quickly approaching. I know this year has been challenging but I try really hard to bring positivity to my family and try to look on the brighter side of life. I am grateful for our health and continue to pray for others and hope for a somewhat “normal” 2021 πΒ This is Lulu’s second Christmas and when she is all grown we want her to remember the magic in Christmas so despite the craziness 2020 has brought we still want to find safe Holiday events we…

Dining Room Inspiration
Our dining room table arrived yesterday π This is a huge deal for me, we have lived in our home for TWO years, TWO years! I know furnishing your home is always something to look forward to but I have dreamed about this for two years. Right before we purchased the table, my hubby looked at me and said “are you sure this is the one you want?” Without hesitation I said “Yes, it’s been on my inspiration board for TWO years.” π When we toured the house for the first time before purchasing, the previous owners had a long rectangle dining room table. After moving in and renovating the…

Christmas Front Porch
With the new windows project wrapping up around our house, we decided not to go too crazy with outdoor Christmas decor this year. The contractors still need to come replace all our gutters π³ We figured it might be best for them to not have to work around Christmas lights. I went with a simple, welcoming front porch, with pops of red and plaids. One of my favorite parts of a home to decorate, is the front porch. Many people do not see the inside of your home, especially right now, 2020… The front porch is such a great way to show a bit of your style and welcome friends…

Christmas Gift Guide – Toddler Edition!
December is here π¬ Christmas is quickly approaching. This is Lulu’s second Christmas, I have a feeling Christmas will be a sensory overload for her this year π That being said, I am going to make Christmas morning as visually pleasing as possible. Let’s be real, at 17 months she will be all about the colors, the paper, the ribbons, the music more than the actual toys. She is already all about the Christmas tree! Hanging the ornaments was so much fun with her this year π Before I even went shopping for Lucy I looked for the prettiest paper and ribbons. Hallmark makes the best bulk wrapping paper. The…

Beaded Rim Dinnerware!
I am so excited to share this post with you all. I have been in love with the Costa Nova Pearl Stoneware set of beaded rim dinnerware from Pottery Barn for over a year now. They were just too pricey for me, I could not get myself to purchase them. This year for Christmas my parents offered to get us a set of Christmas dishes for our newly remodeled home. While shopping around for Christmas dishes I stumbled on some similar beaded rim dishes at Target! I unboxed them the other night just in time for our Thanksgiving dinner. They are the Threshold brand, feel heavy and very nice quality.…

My Crockpot, The Original Slow Cooker Review
Yesterday I made the best soup in my crockpot, using my prep sink of course π We are a soup obsessed family, especially in the winter time. I usually make a soup in the crockpot twice a month just to have in the fridge. My sister came across this recipe one year after Christmas. It is Holly’s slow cooker corn chowder from her blog Spend With Pennies she has one of my favorite food blogs! We do alter it and use honey cured ham instead of bacon, we did this originally to use up the Christmas ham leftovers and it was so good. Last year I purchased my Crockpot, after…

Coffee & Tea Junkie Hostess Gift
My sister gifted me the Coffee & Tea Junkie Pour-Over Advent Calendar. Such a fun gift idea for a coffee lover βοΈ Or if you have decided to enjoy a safe Thanksgiving with a small group, what a great hostess gift this would be! It comes with 24 packs of coffee so you can enjoy a fresh cup everyday until Christmas. Here is the best part… Each day is a surprise flavor π I think that is so fun. If you are gifting to a Keurig loving family, she makes a K Cup Advent Calendar too. You don’t even need a coffee maker for the pour over coffee. She includes…

New Baby – Bottles & Formula
Here comes the third post in my new baby series dedicated to my BFF Lola and her bundle of joy coming on New Years Eve! Lola asked me the question we all ask ourselves before giving birth, what if breastfeeding doesn’t work for me? Real talk, breastfeeding is HARD. I had very unrealistic expectations of breastfeeding as I’d known a few friends to breastfeed their kids with ease (or so I thought). Getting personal here, breastfeeding was very important to me, I knew the health benefits were essential to Lulu. I tried… but here is the thing, no one tells you beforehand how to breastfeed, how to pump, when your…

New Baby – Postpartum Items to Have at Home
Welcome to the second post in my New Baby series that I am putting together for my best friend, she is having her first baby on New Years Eve! Ok, so, your hospital bag is packed and ready to go, now it is time to think about what postpartum items you should have handy when you return home. The hospital provides many essential items for your stay, but your postpartum care continues long after you leave. If you are like me, you spent nine months preparing for baby and zero time preparing for your postpartum needs. I owe my survival of postpartum to my Mother and two Mama friends π…
