Christmas Gift Guide – Toddler Edition!
December is here š¬ Christmas is quickly approaching. This is Lulu’s second Christmas, I have a feeling Christmas will be a sensory overload for her this year š That being said, I am going to make Christmas morning as visually pleasing as possible. Let’s be real, at 17 months she will be all about the colors, the paper, the ribbons, the music more than the actual toys. She is already all about the Christmas tree! Hanging the ornaments was so much fun with her this year š

Before I even went shopping for Lucy I looked for the prettiest paper and ribbons. Hallmark makes the best bulk wrapping paper. The best part about it is it’s reversible, so three rolls gives you six options! These are not the exact patterns I purchased but here are some I found that I love. Shop the pictures below –
Next up the ribbons! Sparkly, shimmery, colorful ribbons are a great way to upgrade your Christmas wrapping. Plus, what toddler doesn’t love to play with the ribbons?! Shop some of my favorites below –
Now that we have the wrapping paper and ribbons taken care of we need some toddler gifts to wrap! This year for Lulu we followed the “something rules” while shopping. Something to play with, something to read, something to wear, something to create, something to work at, and something to experience! Below I’ll post what we got for each “something rule,” simply click the photo to shop the pics!
She has been really into a similar “making salads” kit so we thought this might be fun for her. Something to play with –
Lulu loves the Sandra Boynton books, so we chose a Christmas one and then a collector set. Something to read –
Lulu has been living in little sweatsuits this winter. We added to her collection in the next size up! I also purchased her some onesies and socks to wrap up, remember the unwrapping will most likely be her favorite part! Something to wear –
She has been wanting to do more art and craft activities, but for a 17 month old this can be messy š Check out what I found that has ZERO mess. Something to create –
Next up is something to work at. It is important to find toys that help them work on their fine motor skills, here is what we found. Something to work at –
I think the most important gift we can give our children is the something to experience gift. Experiences will always mean more to our kids then things in the long run.Ā The experience gift is also a great one to ask grandparents to purchase for them. This year my parents got Lulu an annual membership to the Wow Museum which is a local children’s museum near us. Other experience gifts might include –
- Zoo membership
- Library card
- Museum memberships
- Aquarium membership
- A one on one day with Mom and/or Dad
- A one on one day with grandparents
- A magazine or book subscription (a subscription that shows up once a month for the year)
- Kids cooking class
- State park pass
- Sky Zone pass
- Trampoline jump house pass
- A day at a local pool
- Visiting a farm
- Pottery making class for kids
- Trip to the toy/book store to let them choose a gift
I hope you all find this post helpful while shopping for your little ones. Remember, the memories we make during the holidays will carry in their hearts for the rest of their lives ā¤ļø How do you tackle your Christmas shopping for your little ones?! Let me know in the comments below!
