Ruggable Rugs
Let’s talk about Ruggable Rugs! I am sure you have seen the many ads floating around social media for Ruggable, well I decided to give them a try. A machine washable rug sounded perfect for high foot traffic areas in our home. I put the Nira Grey Runner in the 2.5×7 size between the island and the counters in my kitchen. I love it, it’s the perfect fit and brings some warmth to our white oak flooring. This is an area that receives tons of foot traffic and plenty of spills, so I love that I can throw it right into the washing machine. To wash, simply remove the rug…

Products you never knew you needed… Part Two!
Picking out appliances was such a fun part of the renovation for me. I suggest finding a local appliance dealer, stop into their showroom and get a feel for their customer service. We actually did this with two different showrooms and knew instantly which place we wanted to give our business to. We needed to purchase all new appliances in order to achieve our kitchen vision. It felt nice to give our business to a local appliance store. For the microwave, we decided on a microwave drawer built into the kitchen cabinetry. I love how discreet a built in microwave drawer can be. If you really want to make your…

Beaded Rim Dinnerware!
I am so excited to share this post with you all. I have been in love with the Costa Nova Pearl Stoneware set of beaded rim dinnerware from Pottery Barn for over a year now. They were just too pricey for me, I could not get myself to purchase them. This year for Christmas my parents offered to get us a set of Christmas dishes for our newly remodeled home. While shopping around for Christmas dishes I stumbled on some similar beaded rim dishes at Target! I unboxed them the other night just in time for our Thanksgiving dinner. They are the Threshold brand, feel heavy and very nice quality.…

My Crockpot, The Original Slow Cooker Review
Yesterday I made the best soup in my crockpot, using my prep sink of course đŸ˜‰ We are a soup obsessed family, especially in the winter time. I usually make a soup in the crockpot twice a month just to have in the fridge. My sister came across this recipe one year after Christmas. It is Holly’s slow cooker corn chowder from her blog Spend With Pennies she has one of my favorite food blogs! We do alter it and use honey cured ham instead of bacon, we did this originally to use up the Christmas ham leftovers and it was so good. Last year I purchased my Crockpot, after…

Prep Sink
The prep sink might seem like a silly addition to your kitchen but trust me it’s worth it. If you are currently building or renovating I highly recommend you add a prep sink. Many people today are putting their sinks right into their kitchen islands, I love this look. However, our sink looked out a beautiful large window and I wanted to keep it that way, so I decided to put a prep sink in the island instead. I enjoy prepping right on the island so I can still engage with family and friends. The prep sink makes this so easy to clean my veggies, meat and do all my…
