Christmas Magic in Downtown Denver

It has been quite the year. It is hard to believe it is already December, Halloween and Thanksgiving have flown by and Christmas is quickly approaching. I know this year has been challenging but I try really hard to bring positivity to my family and try to look on the brighter side of life. I am grateful for our health and continue to pray for others and hope for a somewhat “normal” 2021 🙏  This is Lulu’s second Christmas and when she is all grown we want her to remember the magic in Christmas so despite the craziness 2020 has brought we still want to find safe Holiday events we can enjoy with her!

One event we found was the Parade of Lights light show on display at Denver Union Station. Every night through December 31st they will run a show called Winter WonderLights on the front of the building. The light show starts at 5pm and goes until 10pm every night. They also have a beautiful Christmas tree and light display outside, and a magical Christmas tree lit up inside. Two of Denver’s Parade of Lights floats are stationed in the plaza too. If you have older kids it would be so much fun to walk around the city looking for the floats. They are so beautiful and create so much magic this holiday season.

The restaurant patios were opened with heaters and tents. It was refreshing to see people out patronizing the restaurants and enjoying some Christmas cocktails. We enjoyed a S’mores hot chocolates from Pigtrain Coffee Co. and it was out of this world. What a wonderful night we had and the Christmas lights were truly magical, no matter your age. Since they are offering it every night it limits the crowds making it a comfortable place to marvel and spend an extended period of time. I highly recommend checking it out and adding some Christmas magic to your holiday season 💚❤️
