Products you never knew you needed... Part Two!

Picking out appliances was such a fun part of the renovation for me. I suggest finding a local appliance dealer, stop into their showroom and get a feel for their customer service. We actually did this with two different showrooms and knew instantly which place we wanted to give our business to. We needed to purchase all new appliances in order to achieve our kitchen vision. It felt nice to give our business to a local appliance store. For the microwave, we decided on a microwave drawer built into the kitchen cabinetry. I love how discreet a built in microwave drawer can be. If you really want to make your microwave unnoticeable, I would recommend placing the built in microwave drawer on the side of the island guests never see. Our built in microwave is a 24 inch Microwave-In-A-Drawer by Dacor. We are very pleased with the Dacor brand from Specialty Appliances.

Keeping the microwave clean is a whole other animal. One of my good friends introduced me to this magical product and I just can’t keep it to myself 😂 It is called The Angry Microwave Mama and it’s awesome! It is so easy to use! Simply mix water and vinegar and pour it into Mama’s head, place in microwave for five minutes. The water/vinegar solution will steam and spray throughout your microwave. After five minutes open your microwave and just wipe it out. It literally sparkles after 🌟 Vinegar is such an awesome non-toxic product to use for everyday household cleaning. The Angry Microwave Mama is a fun way to tackle a not so fun job! I also use the microfiber cleaning cloths from Amazon for so many household chores.
