Christmas Front Porch
With the new windows project wrapping up around our house, we decided not to go too crazy with outdoor Christmas decor this year. The contractors still need to come replace all our gutters 😳 We figured it might be best for them to not have to work around Christmas lights. I went with a simple, welcoming front porch, with pops of red and plaids. One of my favorite parts of a home to decorate, is the front porch. Many people do not see the inside of your home, especially right now, 2020… The front porch is such a great way to show a bit of your style and welcome friends and strangers from a far!

If you watched my Instagram stories the other day you saw my new bench 🙌 I think front porch bench’s are such a cozy touch. I look forward to switching out the pillows with each season/holiday. The goal for next summer is to find some beautiful large planters for the right side of the porch. You can find my exact front porch bench below, simply click the photo.
The pillows on the bench I picked up at Home Goods two years ago 😳 I finally get to display them! I picked them up on clearance after the holiday season. One of my favorite things to do is raid Home Goods and Michaels after Christmas, it’s worth grabbing those clearance items even if it takes you two years to display them 😉 I am linking Christmas pillows I found on Amazon that I love below, click the photos to shop –
I learned something this Christmas, poinsettias are a warm climate flower 😮 who knew?! I unknowingly purchased poinsettias and put them outside… well, they don’t survive very well below 50 degrees. I quickly switched my outdoor real poinsettias for artificial ones and brought the real ones inside. They are very pretty and the deep red screams Christmas 🎄 Below you can find my pots and artificial poinsettias.
We are an artificial Christmas Tree family so every year in order to support our local nurseries, I make a point to purchase fresh wreaths. They are always so beautiful and smell so lovely. I then add my own bows to them. I keep my bows and then decide each year which design I am feeling that year. This year I was really feeling the plaid! If you prefer artificial wreaths I linked two I found on Amazon that are very pretty plus some large Christmas bows to attach to them!

You definitely can have some fun with your welcome mats as well! I love the idea of switching out the welcome mat the same way you switch out the bench pillows for the season/holiday. My current set up is all from Wayfair. Ill link it below plus some Christmas options!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Christmas front porch! Follow me on Instagram and tag me in your Christmas front porches, I’d love to see them ❤️
