My Dad’s Chili!
Autumn is in full swing and the days are getting chilly! My favorite thing to make for dinner on these brisk days is my Dad’s Chili. It is so delicious and very simple to make.
Ingredients
Method
- Brown ground beef in a large pot. Once cooked, drain fat.
- Add chili seasoning mix to ground beef and stir.
- Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and kidney beans to pot and stir.
- Stir in Lipton french onion soup mix.
- Chop your choice of pepper into strips and add to the chili.
- Add the brown sugar for a bit of sweetness then stir and let chili simmer for two hours or until peppers are soft.
- Serve with warm bread and your favorite chili toppings!
I love this recipe because I enjoy the hint of sweetness as I am not a spicy chili girl 🌶 I serve it up with warm buttered ciabatta bread. I hope you enjoy this chili as much as our family does. Stay warm and cozy!
